2016 marks the twentieth anniversary since life-saving HIV medication was introduced to the UK. In Dragonflies Theatre’s new production, we explore HIV amongst gay men through a series of interwoven stories:
Alex knows nothing about HIV but knew he should have worn the Power Bottom singlet Nick is his Tinder date who’s recently been diagnosed HIV positive. Irene is a nurse working with AIDS patients in the 1980s, and Barney is given a new lease of life when the ARV meds come through in 1996. As their perspectives intertwine, a touching love story of emotion, humour and overcoming stigma arises to the fore.
