Steven taught at several British Universities throughout his career, principally the University of Westminster in London where he worked for 25 odd years and was a Senior lecturer in English Literature. He published widely on such areas as Samuel Beckett, the literature of London, post-colonial literature, psychoanalysis and literature, contemporary theatre. Steve is now a Professor of English in a University in Iraqi Kurdistan.
